The ceremony began with opening remarks by Director Prof. Refet S. G\u00fcrkaynak. Prof. Ays\u0131t Tansel, representing the Tansel family, was next to speak. For the 2022\u201323 academic year, the Kalbiye Tansel Best PhD Thesis Award was granted to Elif B\u00fcr\u00fcml\u00fc K\u0131sa (Psychology) for her dissertation titled \u201cMaternal Discourse Styles in the Storytelling and Reminiscing Contexts in Relation to Preschoolers’ Perspective-Taking Abilities,\u201d supervised by Assoc. Prof. Hande Ilgaz. The \u00c7i\u011fdem Bar\u00e7an Tansel Best Master\u2019s Thesis Award was awarded to Muhammet Ali Akman (Archaeology) for his thesis \u201cQuantitative Approaches to Hittite Historical Geography: A Network Analysis of Hittite Toponyms,\u201d supervised by Asst. Prof. Nebahat \u0130lgi Ger\u00e7ek. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
