Prof. Refet G\u00fcrkaynak, faculty member in the Department of Economics, has been appointed Vice President for Special Projects at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), one of the world\u2019s most prestigious international networks for economic policy and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this international leadership role, Prof. G\u00fcrkaynak will lead the development of CEPR\u2019s central banking community and oversee the next phase of the organization\u2019s Europe-Asia Initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The appointment recognizes his global standing in academia, his intellectual leadership and his contributions to monetary economics and policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
