Last week, the Department of Performing Arts organized its \u201cAncient Drama Week\u201d and hosted five students from the ALEF University of Iran as well as Professor Mirali Fotouhi and Delaram Habib Piran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Throughout the week, the Iranian theatre students joined second-year Bilkent Performing Arts students in attending two master workshops. Director, choreographer and actress Ay\u015fe Emel Mesci and Angel Simon, a master of puppetry from Spain, conducted the workshops \u201cRitual to Drama\u201d and \u201cAncient Greek Mask Work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students also took a trip to visit ancient sites in and around Ephesus, including Priene and the Temple of Apollo at Didyma. They spent time exploring Ancient Greek drama from different perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
