{"id":4422,"date":"2023-04-11T11:23:18","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T08:23:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bilkentnews.bilkent.edu.tr\/?p=4422"},"modified":"2023-04-11T11:24:03","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T08:24:03","slug":"mfa-student-awarded-best-fantasy-film-at-siyad-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bilkentnews.bilkent.edu.tr\/?p=4422","title":{"rendered":"MFA Student Awarded Best Fantasy Film at S\u0130YAD Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Department of Communication and Design 2021 graduate and current MFA student Nur \u00d6zkaya received the Giovanni Scognamillo Best Fantasy Film award at the 55th S\u0130YAD (Turkish Film Critics Association) Awards for her short animation film, \u201cThere Is Nothing Called Home.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The film tells the story of a person who is stuck with the concept of home and attaches a lot of meaning to small things, choosing herself as a weapon at a Russian roulette table and the battle of her inner roulette.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nur\u2019s first experimental animated film, \u201cFish Out of Water,\u201d won the special selections of more than 20 different festivals.
