Approximately 35 Bilkenters had a chance to learn and experience this workout with Pınar Tansı, Animal Flow regional leader.

Animal Flow is a ground-based training program that uses one’s own body weight and gravity as resistance. Bodyweight training is arguably the oldest known form of exercise. Animal Flow is a system that combines old-time practices with bodyweight training.

“Animal Flow is based on many bodyweight exercise disciplines, such as quadrupedal movement training, gymnastics, parkour exercises, breakdance, martial arts, yoga and balance exercises as well as animal movements that have been used for thousands of years to develop endurance. Participants work in a continuous flow of energy that connects all the movements together. The flow component makes this workout very effective and super fun,” says Pınar Tansı.

While explaining the benefits of Animal Flow, Ms. Tansı underlined that each exercise is designed to increase mobility, flexibility, stability, strength, endurance, skill and neuromuscular development. Each movement in the program has a specific function, and the flow component allows for the practice of mindfulness.

Your body, gravity and your breath.
