The Department of Economics organized an Economic Theory Workshop in June to honor Prof. Semih Koray, faculty member of the Bilkent Department of Economics since 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The workshop took place at the FEASS A-130 seminar room, located on the first floor. Meanwhile, the FEASS A-228 seminar room, where the Department of Economics holds its regular seminar series, has been named the Semih Koray seminar room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event started with an opening speech by Rector K\u00fcr\u015fat Aydo\u011fan. Approximately 45 people, including students and faculty members, attended the two-day workshop. Speakers from other universities, some of them former students of Prof. Koray, included M. Remzi Sanver, H\u00fcseyin Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m, Mehmet Karakaya, Ay\u00e7a Ebru Giritligil, Ahmet Alkan, \u00d6zg\u00fcr K\u0131br\u0131s, \u00dcnal Zenginobuz, Atila Abd\u00fclkadiro\u011flu, \u0130smail Sa\u011flam, Erdem Ba\u015f\u00e7\u0131, Battal Do\u011fan, Ethem Akyol, Ay\u015fe Mutlu Derya and Mehmet Barlo. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
