Within the context of Ankara European Heritage Days, the Kingdom of the Netherlands opened its Embassy Residence in Ankara to guests on Saturday and Sunday September 16 and 17, 2023. The tours were hosted by the Dutch Embassy and made possible through contributions from the Bilkent University Department of Architecture. Within the tours, an elaborate narrative of the Dutch Embassy Residence was provided through the engagement and scholarly endeavors of the faculty members and graduate students of the department. The Department of Architecture prepared a leaflet specifically for the occasion with information about the building\u2019s architect, Sedad Hakk\u0131 Eldem. In it, visitors could learn about aspects of his life, his architectural expression, the spatial features of the residence and the building\u2019s meaningful position within the realm of Turkish architecture.
