In a gathering on February 10th at the C-Block Auditorium, the convergence of myth, history and art took center stage. Collaboratively organized by the Storytelling and Mythology Society, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Society and the Literature Society, and with contributions from the Department of Turkish Literature, the event brought together a dynamic mix of academics, content creators, illustrators and writers immersed in the realm of these disciplines. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
With a focus on fostering collaboration and facilitating an exchange of insights among aspiring students and seasoned professionals, the panel unfolded in two sessions \u2013 one in the morning and another in the afternoon. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mehmet Kalpakl\u0131, chair of the Department Turkish Literature and the Department of History, made the opening speech. The morning session started with a thought-provoking shamanic exploration by historian and digital content creator Ceren Sungur, who added a unique psychological perspective to the discourse with her speech, \u201cShaman as a Psychologist.\u201d Asst. Prof. Nathan Leidholm from CCI then delved into the intricate world of \u201cThe Lord of the Rings and its Mythology,\u201d which concluded the morning discussions on a high note. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The afternoon session, \u201cTransforming Mythology into Art,\u201d featured acclaimed horror writer Mehmet Berk Yalt\u0131r\u0131k and illustrator Bartu B\u00f6l\u00fckba\u015f\u0131. Subsequently, historian and author Kudret Emiro\u011flu unravelled the intricate relationship between mythology and history.
