The Department of Translation and Interpretation (TRIN) continues to uphold its reputation for academic excellence after a recent competition. Two of its distinguished students excelled in this year\u2019s Young Translators Contest, an annual event organized by T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs. One hundred and twenty-five students representing 41 universities with translation programs, including 90 in English, 18 in German and 17 in French, participated in the competition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
G\u00f6kt\u00fcrk Sina K\u00f6me, a fourth-year student, secured first prize in French-Turkish translation, showcasing his exceptional linguistic and translation skills as well as his comprehensive knowledge of the field.
