On Thursday, May 16, the Deprtment of Mechanical Engineering held the Term Project Competition for ME102 (Introduction to Systems Engineering) course. The competition involved 26 groups of freshman-year students who designed and developed vehicles with maximum dimensions of 180 mm x 180 mm x 150 mm. The objective was to knock down 10 bowling pins when the vehicles were released from distances of 5.0 meters and 7.5 meters. All the vehicles were fully powered by mechanical systems designed by the students. Each group was guided by an undergraduate teaching assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team consisting of \u00c7a\u011f\u0131l Deniz \u00c7i\u00e7ek, Taha Emir \u0130zge\u00e7, Ece Melisa Ko\u00e7ak, Bar\u0131\u015f Atay Sar\u0131kaya and Al Hussain Al Badri (TA \u2013 Efe G\u00f6rg\u00fcl\u00fc) collected the maximum points and came first, while Yank\u0131 Evliyao\u011flu, Furkan Kalak, Ba\u015far S\u0131dar and Tolga Tutar (TA \u2013 Atacan G\u00fcrlek) followed them closely. Haluk Efe Atabek, Demir Aydemir, Mert Efe Cano\u011flu, Mert Musabeyli and Ali Ya\u011f\u0131z \u015eahin (TA \u2013 Ege Erdo\u011fan) and Deniz Ak\u0131\u015f, Eren Altan, Bartu Demirba\u015f and Mehmet Faruk K\u00f6yl\u00fc (TA \u2013 Doruk Ba\u011fta\u015f) were two other teams that also had distinguished performances.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
