Every year, O\u011fuz Tansel Turkish Literature Research Center awards prizes in the fields of \u201cChildren\u2019s Literature,\u201d \u201cFolklore\u201d and \u201cPoetry\u201d in honor of O\u011fuz Tansel. The awards are given alternately in these fields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Eray Alpy\u0131ld\u0131z received the 2024 O\u011fuz Tansel Folklore Research Award for his doctoral thesis, \u201cTraditional Turkish Culinary Culture in the Virtual-Digital Cultural Era.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 2024 award in the field of Folklore Research was unanimously decided by the selection committee, which consisted of Metin Turan, Aynur Ko\u00e7ak, \u00c7i\u011fdem Kara, Cenk G\u00fcray and Mehmet Kalpakl\u0131.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The committee assessed Alpy\u0131ld\u0131z\u2019s thesis, prepared at Hacettepe University\u2019s Department of Turkish Folklore, as an innovative and interdisciplinary study that addresses a new concept emerging in a new cultural environment with a strong methodological approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
