Prof. Serkan Ate\u015f from \u0130zmir Institute of Technology and Asst. Prof. \u0130brahim Sarpkaya from UNAM delivered talks on the fundamentals and future directions of quantum technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNAM was also selected as one of the official stops on QuanTour. QuanTour is a scientific journey across Europe established by the Quantum 2025 initiative under the United Nations and UNESCO\u2019s designation of 2025 as the \u201cInternational Year of Quantum Science and Technology.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of QuanTour, a quantum light source developed by Dr. Tobias Heindel\u2019s research group at the Technical University of Berlin is travelling to select laboratories across more than 12 countries in Europe, including the prestigious Cavendish Laboratory at the University of Cambridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The project aims to raise awareness in fields such as quantum optics, semiconductor physics, photonic quantum technologies and quantum metrology, while promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers. After its first stop in Turkey at the \u0130zmir Institute of Technology (\u0130YTE), the quantum light source continued to the Quantum Photonics Laboratory of Asst. Prof. \u0130brahim Sarpkaya at Bilkent University UNAM.
