Assoc. Prof. Y\u0131ld\u0131ray Y\u0131ld\u0131z of the Department of Mechanical Engineering,has accepted an invitation from the European Control Association (EUCA) to serve as T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s representative on its General Assembly, beginning January 1, 2026. His appointment was approved by a vote of the current Assembly members at their recent meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assoc. Prof. Y\u0131ld\u0131z explains, \u201cEUCA promotes systems and control engineering across Europe as well as oversees the annual European Control Conference (ECC). As a member of the Assembly, I will help evaluate proposals for future ECC venues, contribute to program development and support educational and outreach initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The next Assembly meeting will take place on July 7, 2026, in Reykjavik during the 2026 ECC. The term of service is six years (three two-year terms).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
