{"id":9683,"date":"2025-11-25T14:40:10","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T11:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bilkentnews.bilkent.edu.tr\/?p=9683"},"modified":"2025-11-25T16:10:34","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T13:10:34","slug":"bilkent-hosts-ara-guler-exhibition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bilkentnews.bilkent.edu.tr\/?p=9683","title":{"rendered":"Bilkent Hosts Ara G\u00fcler Exhibition"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><em>Photographs: Ara G\u00fcler, Copyright:\u2008Ara G\u00fcler Museum<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Hosted by Bilkent University in collaboration with the Ara G\u00fcler Museum and Gallery Siyah Beyaz and organized by the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture, the exhibition \u201cAra G\u00fcler\u2014A Selection of Ankara Photographs\u201d opened on <strong>November 18<\/strong> at the \u0130hsan and Ayser Do\u011framac\u0131 Science, Culture and Arts Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Presenting a special selection of Ara G\u00fcler\u2019s photographs of Ankara, the exhibition captures the city\u2019s social fabric, urban life and individual stories through the artist\u2019s distinctive lens. Many of these photographs, drawn from the Ara G\u00fcler Archive and exhibited for the first time, reflect the unique spirit and transformation of Ankara across different decades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the exhibition, visitors can view a screening of \u201cA Handful of Fine People\u201d (Bir Avu\u00e7 G\u00fczel \u0130nsan)\u2014a documentary that shares its title with the Ara G\u00fcler Museum\u2019s 2023 exhibition.
