On Saturday, November 22, Bilkent alumni living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) came together at a special gathering hosted by Consul General Onur \u015eaylan at the residence of the Turkish Consulate in Dubai. Rector Prof. K\u00fcr\u015fat Aydo\u011fan and Career and Alumni Office Director T\u00fcmay \u00d6zt\u00fcrk Alta\u015f joined the gathering online, an event which welcomed around 60 alumni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his address, Rector Aydo\u011fan noted that, according to the university\u2019s alumni information system, approximately 300 Bilkent graduates are currently working in the UAE. He emphasized the value of the strong initiative and sense of belonging that Bilkenters have shown as they continue to organize various events in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also highlighted that, thanks to a fundraising campaign launched two years ago by alumni in the UAE, six students have received Support Scholarships. Rector Aydo\u011fan expressed his satisfaction in seeing the same spirit of unity and solidarity continue through efforts to create new scholarship resources for current students.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
