Every year, in honor of the late METU professor Mustafa Parlar, the Middle East Technical University Parlar Foundation recognizes the achievements of scientists and scholars from a variety of fields for their exceptional research productivity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the following five Bilkent faculty members were recipients of METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa Parlar Foundation Awards: Asst. Prof. Ay\u015feg\u00fcl D\u00fcndar Boral (Department of Computer Engineering), UNAM Researcher Talip Serkan Kas\u0131rga, UNAM Asst. Prof. Mustafa Ordu (Materials Science and Nanotechnology), UNAM Asst. Prof. G\u00fcrkan Ye\u015fil\u00f6z (Materials Science and Nanotechnology) and UNAM Asst. Prof. Hasan Y\u0131lmaz (Materials Science and Nanotechnology). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Research Incentive Award is given to young researchers (who have not yet reached the age of 40 on the first day of the year in which the award is given) who have contributed to the development of a field of science with their research or have assisted in solving national issues in that field. This award can be given for a specific research project or in consideration of all the work of a researcher or a research group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
