TEDxBilkent 2026 took place on October 24 at the Bilkent Odeon under the theme “Kıvılcım” (Spark). Organized by the TEDxBilkent club, the independently run event brought together speakers from a range of fields to share ideas, experiences and perspectives. This year’s speakers were Nükhet Duru, Yusuf Dikeç, Somer Sivrioğlu, Özgür Günaydın, Namık Ekin, Metanet Askerova and Hünkar Mutlu. They included Olympic sport shooter Yusuf Dikeç, a silver medalist at the Paris 2024 Games; chef and restaurateur Somer Sivrioğlu, a Bilkent Tourism and Hotel Management graduate and MasterChef Türkiye judge; and Nükhet Duru, a leading voice in Turkish pop music for more than 50 years. Also on the program were Guinness World Record holder Namık Ekin, educator and entrepreneur Metanet Askerova and TRT Spor commentator Hünkar Mutlu. The program also featured a Madrigal concert. As part of this year’s event, one Bilkent student, selected through an open application, gave a talk on the TEDxBilkent stage.
