Assoc. Prof. Efe Tokdemir, faculty member in the Department of International Relations, received the American Political Science Association (APSA) MENA Politics Section’s 2025 Best Paper Award for the paper “Ethnic Cues and Conflict-Triggered Harassment: Evidence from Soccer Fields,” written with Aslı Cansunar of the University of Washington and Arzu Kıbrıs of the University of Warwick.
The award is presented annually for the best paper on Middle East and North African politics delivered at the previous APSA Annual Meeting.
