According to the Technology Development Zones 2021 Performance Index areas provided by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Bilkent Cyberpark has become the most successful technopark in Turkey.
The results of the Performance Index for 2021 were announced at the R&D and Design Centers and Technology Development Zones Summit. Bilkent’s Cyberpark achieved first in the mature Technoparks category as well as in the general ranking. Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank presented the awards to Vice Rector Erdal Erel and Cyberpark General Manager Faruk İnaltekin.
At the summit, in his opening speech, Mr. Varank underlined that Technoparks play an important role in the production of high technology and emphasized that the future of the country and the development of its economy depend on it. Varank added that the Ankara Technology Bridge, which was established with the cooperation of Bilkent Cyberpark and Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, is the first example in Turkey of an out-of-regional incubation center. According to the ranking announced at the award ceremony, Bilkent Cyberpark received first place with ODTÜ Teknokent in second place and Yıldız Technical University Yıldız Teknopark in third.
