The kind and warm people that are so welcoming and always happy to help.
Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?
There are many similarities, one of them being the language. Many words and phrases are alike.
What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?
I will miss all the fun times I’ve spent with the friends I’ve met at Bilkent.
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
My favorite place on campus is most likely Bilka because of the warm memories I’ve made there.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?
My favorite Turkish food is almost all the desserts, including künefe, baklava and Turkish ice cream.
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
I do not have a clue where life will take me next, but I hope that in ten years I will be surrounded with people I love and doing what I truly enjoy.
What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?
The hardest challenge is probably being away from my family and learning how to live an independent life.
What places have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?
I have visited many places in İstanbul and Gaziantep, and my favorite was the Bosphorus bridge in İstanbul.
What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Turkey?
I find it interesting that people constantly think that I am from Turkey and start conversations with me in Turkish.
