Reyyan Ayfer, a member of the editorial board since the first issue of Bilkent News, March 14, 1995, retired in August 2023.
Ms. Ayfer joined the Bilkent faculty in 1988. She has contributed a great deal to Bilkent in many areas and in various roles. She served as the chair of the Department of Computer Technology and Programming between 1994 and 2017 and as vice chair of the Department of Computer and Instructional Technology Teacher Education between 2004 and 2020. In addition to these, she has held many administrative positions, including establishing BETS as a volunteer group of faculty members to support the use of technology for education at the university, leading the Publications Unit and leading the department teams for Quality Management in Education.
We would like to thank Reyyan Ayfer for many years of contributions to Bilkent News, and for her smiling face and positive approach and all her hard work. We wish her a happy and healthy retirement.
