What were your first impressions about Türkiye?
It is a beautiful country with warm people.
What do you like best about Bilkent and Türkiye?
It has a really good dorm life, and the campus is big and beautiful.
Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?
The hospitality of people and sweet dishes are somewhat similar.
What will you miss most about Bilkent/Türkiye?
The view of the city from Bilka hill and the friends I have made here.
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
Mayfest, because all the fun events happen there.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and why?
Döner, because it’s very similar to shawarma, which is my favorite food in my home country.
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
A government officer serving my country.
What’s one thing you learned from Turkish culture?
The way they greet their guests.
What places have you visited in Türkiye, and which one is your favorite?
Cappadocia, İstanbul, Fethiye, İzmir, Bolu, Eşkisehir, Antalya, Marmaris, Bodrum and Kayseri. My favorite is Bolu because of the natural beauty this city holds.

“Are you Turkish?”
