Efe Erşahin, a Grade 12 student in the percussion department at Bilkent University Music Preparatory School, was awarded second prize in Category A at the 22nd Italy Percussion Competition, organized by the Italy Percussion Arts Society.
The international competition featured a distinguished jury that included Frederic Macarez (France), John Wooton (USA) and Alexej Gerassimez (Germany). As no first prize was awarded, Erşahin’s performance highlighted both his artistic excellence and the strength of the Turkish percussion tradition. He is a student of Aydın Mecid.
