The Faculty of Law in collaboration with the Atatürk and Republican Era Research Center, marked the 100th anniversary of the adoption of the Turkish Civil Code with a seminar titled “Turkish Civil Law Revolution,” on February 17, 2026, at the İhsan and Ayser Doğramacı Science, Culture and Art Center.
Organized as part of the “100th Year of the Civil Code Seminar Series,” the event opened with remarks by Rector Prof. Kürşat Aydoğan. The program then continued with a musical recital by students of Bilkent Music Preparatory High School. The panel was moderated by Prof. Başak Baysal, Dean of the Faculty of Law, with Prof. Osman Berat Gürzumar from the Faculty of Law and Assoc. Prof. H. Tolga Bölükbaşı from the Atatürk and Republican Era Research Center as speakers.
