The Bilkent University Chess Team successfully represented the university and Türkiye in the Collegiate Chess League (CCL) Fall 2025, organized in cooperation with Chess.com and PlayVS, as the only university from Türkiye to participate in the competition.
The competition, held across 25 different divisions with universities from around the world, concluded after seven weeks of league-format matches, followed by playoff rounds. All matches were played online via the Chess.com platform.
In the same season, Bilkent University achieved two championship titles and one podium finish, marking a significant international success. With these results, Bilkent University became the first and only university from Türkiye to win a championship in the Collegiate Chess League.
