The Faculty of Law team has achieved remarkable success by advancing to the international rounds of the 2026 Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition, one of the most prestigious Moot Court Competitions organized by the International Law Students Association (ILSA). Competing against prestigious law schools across Türkiye, the Bilkent team advanced to the finals of the Turkish National Rounds and completed the competition as the runner-up team. With this outstanding result, the team is selected to participate as an exhibition team in the international final rounds in Washington, D.C.
In addition to the team’s overall success, individual members were recognized for their exceptional advocacy skills. Among the team members, Pelin Alan received the Best Pleader Award and İlayda Soysal received the Second-best Pleader Award from the judging panel.
The 2026 Bilkent Jessup Team consists of law students Pelin Alan, Zeynep Balkan, Doğa Can, Merve Hatun Horuz and İlayda Soysal. The team is guided and coached by Asst. Prof. Ayşe Dicle Ergin and Yeşim Köseoğlu (PhD student).
