Organized under the leadership of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), Science Café events are held across Türkiye to make scientific knowledge more accessible and encourage direct interaction between researchers and the public. Bilkent University continued its Science Café series over the summer with two events on the theme “Professions of the Future.”
On July 27, Boran Aksoy, instructor in the Department of Communication and Design, spoke on the future of media and design technologies in the age of artificial intelligence at the Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center’s Gülten Akın Hall, in collaboration with Çankaya Municipality.
On July 29 at Bilkent Sahne AST in Bilkent Center Prof. Selim Aksoy, from the Department of Computer Engineering, discussed how artificial intelligence and large language models are reshaping the future of computer engineering.
