Asst. Prof. Pınar Sezginalp of the Department of Interior Architecture and Environmental Design led a city walk, “European Architects in Ankara, Capital of the Republic,” on Sunday, September 20, as part of the European Heritage Days. The 70-minute walk along Bankalar Caddesi in Ulus drew about 25 participants, among them Aivo Orav, ambassador and head of the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye. Dr. Sezginalp discussed buildings designed by European architects in Ankara during the early Republican period. The walk was organized with the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) network. Now in their 43rd year, the European Heritage Days were held simultaneously in Ankara, İstanbul and İzmir.
