Dear Bilkent Community,
Based on the Council of Higher Education (CoHE) decision and in consultation with our Deans, we decided to pause education at Bilkent University until February 20, 2023.
Let us also use this opportunity to update you on Bilkent’s earthquake relief efforts.
We have already reached out to a significant group of our students with permanent residences in the earthquake zone. We are recording and evaluating the impact suffered on a student-by-student basis and figuring out ways to provide these students with support and relief. In the coming days, we will continue and follow up on each of these cases to ensure no affected Bilkent student is left unsupported.
Bilkent Holding is also fully involved in disaster relief efforts by providing shelter, machinery, food, basic life supplies, and much-needed labor.
Our TDP and Radyo Bilkent students have done a tremendous job organizing the donation campaign. We thank them and all the volunteer students and staff that made Bilkent’s reaction to the earthquake swift and exemplary.
We are confident that our students will continue their participation in the relief efforts during this break.
