Dr. Nedret Öztan, clinical psychologist, gave two seminars on “Psychological First Aid in Traumatic Experiences” in C-Block Auditorium.
The first seminar, organized by the Psychological Counseling and Development Center, was held on Monday, February 13. C-Block Auditorium was filled with Bilkent faculty, students and guests.
Dr. Öztan also met with listeners via Zoom on February 15. The seminar was organized by Bilkent University Teaching and Learning Support Center (Bilkent University), Sustainable Teaching and Learning Center (Hacettepe University), Office of Learning and Teaching (Koç University), Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching (Middle East Technical University) and Center for Teaching and Learning (TED University).
Within the seminars, Dr. Öztan reviewed the social and psychological effects of traumatic experiences and emergency situations that are considered normal reactions to abnormal events and offered approaches to with these effects.
