NanoDay, organized by the Bilkent University National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM), brings together scientists, researchers, students and industry representatives from Turkey and around the world. The event, which will take place June 2, serves as a platform for prominent figures in the international scientific community.
UNAM organizes NanoDay each year to connect its hundreds of participants with leading scientists in the field. The event plays a vital role in achieving these goals by facilitating the exchange of cutting-edge research, promoting knowledge sharing and fostering social interaction. It also includes exciting activities such as the NanoArt and the NanoPoster contests and exhibitions, which offer a platform for students from the UNAM MSN Program at Bilkent University, as well as those from other institutions, to showcase their work and express themselves.
As part of NanoDay, which began in 2014, UNAM will host Prof. Dirk Strunk from Paracelsus Medical University in Austria, Prof. Ad Lagendijk from the University of Twente in the Netherlands and Fetah Benabid from the University of Limoges in France to share their expertise.
The NanoArt competition strives to recognize captivating images captured at the nanometer scale through innovative imaging techniques and cutting-edge technologies.
Undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students alike are invited to partake in the NanoArt contest. Students can submit images that showcase intricate details, measuring below 1000 nm, that have been observed and recorded within laboratory settings using material characterization devices such as transmission electron, confocal or atomic force microscopes.
