How often do you exercise?
I exercise four times a week.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
It allows me to relax after a tiring day at Bilkent. Due to the nature of climbing, this sport has been beneficial for my problem solving skills as well as helped me improve my balance.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
Try to start slow. It is never a good idea to rush the process. Trust yourself and know that you’ll be able to achieve your goals in time. Do not be afraid to get advice from experienced people. Lastly, try to read as much as possible about the sport that you are going to do.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Challenging myself, being disciplined and being a part of a community.
Which Bilkent sports facilities do you use?
I mostly use the climbing walls at Bilkent University. On the side, I try to run as well as play squash.
Have you taken any courses or participated in any activities?
As I said before, I mostly use the climbing wall and bouldering facilities in the Outdoor Sport Facilities.
