The library, being a crucial institution within the academic sphere, offered its wholehearted support to this significant scholarly initiative.
Themed “Librarianship in the Republic,” the symposium served as a scholarly platform where expert speakers critically evaluated the multifaceted landscape of Turkish librarianship. The discussions ranged from historical retrospection and social contextualization to rigorous academic, technological, legal and international perspectives within the framework of the republic. The symposium welcomed venerable scholars and featured a curated selection of peer-reviewed papers and posters, which further enriched the academic discourse.
Dr. Ebru Kaya, library director and event moderator, chaired a session on the discourse on Public Houses (Halk Evleri) and Village Institutes on the second day of the symposium.
