Bilkent University will celebrate the 2023 Nobel Prize awards this coming Monday, December 11. The primary goal of this event is to engage young people in this important award and create a platform for students to meet science and to develop their interest and curiosity in science.
Within the framework of the event, faculty members from different departments of Bilkent will present on the research of scientists who were awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, Literature, Peace and Economics.
The highlight of the event will be a presentation on campus by renowned Swedish scientist Prof. Thors Hans Hansson, Chairman of the Nobel Committee for Physics (2021). In addition, there will be a live connection to the laboratory of Nobel Laureate in Chemistry, Prof. Moungi G. Bawendi, at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Students will be informed about research at the forefront of science.
