A new play, “4 by Tenn,” premiered on December 8 in the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts Theater Hall. “4 by Tenn” consisting of “The Pink Bedroom,” “The Lady of Larkspur Lotion,” “Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen” and “Mister Paradise,” all short plays written by Tennessee Williams, is based on his well-known themes of betrayal, separateness, despair and separation from society.
Directed by Jason Hale, the production is staged by the Department of Performing Arts students as a senior project.
Berkay Şekerci is the assistant director, and cast members are Aslı Bilge, Orkan Aydın, Yağmur Şen, Ayşe Yağmur Başak, Elif Özkara, Berfin Tosuner, İlker Şengül and Berkay Şekerci (guest actor). Set design is by Özlem Gezgin, with translation by the senior class and lighting by Yılmaz Ertekin.
The play will be performed in Turkish with English subtitles. The remaining performances of the play will take place on December 14, 15, 18, 19 and 20, at 8 p.m., in the FMPA Theater Hall.
