In a collaborative effort spearheaded by the Horizon Europe Project CULTURATI, funded by the European Commission with a budget of 3.1 million euros, Dr. Eda Gürel, project coordinator, and Arzu Sibel İkinci, Director of Training from the Department of Tourism and Hotel Management, led a workshop on January 16. The workshop, “Preparing a Successful Horizon Europe Project,” took place at Bilkent and drew the participation of instructors from diverse departments, including Political Science and Public Administration, Interior Architecture and Environmental Design, Translation and Interpretation, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and the National Nanotechnology Research Center (UNAM).
The event, organized by the Teaching and Learning Support Center and supported by the Bilkent Technology Transfer Office, began with speeches by Armağan Ateşkan, Director of TLSC, Fulya Ercengiz and Sezen Çabuk from the TTO. The opening remarks set the tone for an engaging session that focused on enhancing the university’s involvement in Horizon Europe projects.
The workshop’s centerpiece was a presentation by Dr. Eda Gürel and Arzu Sibel İkinci. They offered insights into the intricacies of crafting successful project proposals. Attendees were then immersed in an interactive workshop that provided them with practical tips and experience in the creation of compelling proposals.
