Bilkent University, one of three universities to have received Turkey’s “Best Zero Waste Practice” award, is organizing an event for “World Zero Waste Day” on Friday, March 29, at the spring festival area. World Zero Waste Day aims to raise awareness for sustainability and waste management.
The day will include sports events, artwork, talks, zero-waste quizzes and workshops as well as a Radio Bilkent broadcast. There will also be a live performance of sculptor Mr. Doğan Karakılıç’s artwork with scrap musical materials.
A ceremony will be held for students who participated in the zero-waste logo competition.
