Assoc. Prof. Gülüm Özçelik, Faculty of Law, has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair on the Legal Aspects of Migration Management in the European Union and in Türkiye. With its teaching, research and dissemination activities, the chair aims to promote academic discussion on the legal aspects of migration and international protection at Bilkent University and to foster a dialogue with other stakeholders including policymakers, practitioners, experts and civil society.
A Jean Monnet Chair is a title assigned to university professors specializing in European Union studies and includes financial support for three years.
