The “Turkish and International Students Come Together: Gather and Mingle” event, held for the first time this year as part of the GE100 Orientation Course, received great interest from new Bilkent students.
Organized in collaboration with the Student Activities Center and the Bilkent International House, the event took place on Thursday, September 12, at the Grass Field, marking the end of the four-day GE100 program. New Bilkent students, eager to conclude the intense program with some fun, had the chance to make new friends from different countries and cultures. During the open-air cocktail at the Grass Field, students enjoyed music, engaged in conversations and had fun together.
The event began with opening speeches from Turkish and international students and continued with group discussions to facilitate interaction and bonding among students. Following this “Ice Breaking” segment, participants joined a “Scavenger Hunt” game, which involved searching for clues hidden around the campus that led them to rewards. Prizes from the Bilkent Store were awarded to the winners of the competition.
