Pathways for Global IR: A Debate 

İhsan Doğramacı Peace Foundation Center for Foreign Policy and Peace Research, in collaboration with Bilkent University’s Department of International Relations, hosted a stimulating debate featuring Prof. Ayşe Zarakol (University of Cambridge) and Prof. Ersel Aydınlı (Bilkent University). Moderated by Asst. Prof. Seçkin Köstem (Bilkent University) and titled “Pathways for Global IR,” the discussion delved into alternative approaches to Global International Relations (IR), exploring its conceptualization, its future trajectories and the pros and cons of integration, incorporation and revolution. The debate also addressed the roles of diverse actors and platforms in advancing Global IR, the influence of language on scholarship and the difficulties in recognizing Global South perspectives within the global academic discourse.
