The Department of Information Systems and Technologies (CTIS) celebrated its 30th anniversary last week, marking three decades of excellence in education as the first department of its kind in Türkiye. The event brought together a diverse group of attendees, including graduates, current students, past and present faculty members and industry partners, highlighting the department’s strong ties with the professional community. Since its inception, CTIS has been a pioneer, introducing numerous innovations to IT education in Türkiye and setting the standard for curriculum development in the field. The celebration featured speeches, karaoke with the Bilkent Karaoke Club, day-long music from Radyo Bilkent, a live concert by the LTE rock band and a movie screening.
The event served as a testament to CTIS’s dedication to producing skilled professionals, maintaining academic rigor over the years and staying connected to its graduates and the professional community.
