The training sessions of “Effective Reporting Beyond Scores in Higher Education,” a project supported by TÜBİTAK 4005—Innovative Education Practices Support Program, were held under the supervision of Asst. Prof. İlker Kalender, a faculty member of the Faculty of Education, in two terms on October 7–10 and October 21–24, at Bilkent.
The aim of this project is to provide knowledge and skills on reporting exam results or similar data at higher education, going beyond the presentation of mere scores in an accessible, usable and understandable manner for target groups such as students or administrators.
The events in the project included activities designed in a practical, interactive and entertaining way, using innovative teaching approaches for research assistants, encouraging active participation and thus ensuring the permanence of project gains.
It is envisaged that this project will contribute to the development of research assistants’ knowledge and skills in education and training in general and measurement and evaluation in particular; in parallel, it will have a positive reflection on the higher education potential of our country.
