The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has named Prof. Sinan Gezici of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering an IEEE Fellow.
The IEEE Fellow is one of the organization’s highest honors. It is bestowed upon a very limited number of IEEE Senior Members who have contributed significantly to the advancement or application of engineering, science and technology.
IEEE, the world’s largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology, is designed to serve professionals involved in all aspects of the electrical, electronic and computing fields as well as other related areas of science and technology that underlie modern civilization.
Prof. Gezici was named an IEEE Fellow on the basis of his contributions to wireless localization and ultra-wideband systems.
