How often do you exercise?
I try to exercise at least four days a week. In addition to regular fitness workouts, I always dedicate extra time to my specialized sport discipline, shooting.
How has regular exercise affected your life?
Although exercising regularly felt difficult at first, over time it has had a positive effect on my overall discipline in life. When I exercise regularly, I feel happier and more energetic, and I often become more productive and organized in order to make time for exercise.
What do you suggest to those who are just taking up a sport or starting to exercise?
Getting involved in any kind of sport will bring many positive changes to your life. At the very least, it will change the way you look at the challenges you face in daily life. So keep engaging in physical activities as much as you can, because every moment that challenges you mentally or physically will make you stronger in many ways.
What are the first three things that come to mind when you hear the word “sports”?
Discipline, motivation, happiness.
Which Bilkent sports facilities do you use?
I mostly use the Sports Halls for regular fitness training or to play badminton or table tennis with my friends. Sometimes I use the walking path in the stadium to jog or run.
Have you taken any courses or participated in any activities?
I attended a fencing course for a semester. This year, I participated on behalf of Bilkent University in the intercollegiate shooting competitions organized by the University Sports Federation.
