On Wednesday, October 1, the Faculty of Law hosted a conference titled “Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Law: Boundaries, Risks, Practices,” organized in collaboration with the Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) and the Data Protection Association.
The conference began with opening remarks by Bora Yazıcıoğlu, President of the Data Protection Association; Rector Prof. Kürşat Aydoğan; and Prof. Faruk Bilir, President of the Personal Data Protection Authority.
Throughout the day, legal experts, academics and students gathered at the C-Block Auditorium to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and data protection law. The sessions focused on current issues in AI ethics and legal frameworks as well as developments in national and international data protection regulations.
In the foyer, an interactive board game called Compliance Detective (Uyum Dedektifi) was available for attendees to explore data protection concepts through gamification.
