Ayşe Gürer, a first-year student in the Department of American Language and Literature, achieved remarkable success at L’Étape Türkiye by Tour de France, held in İstanbul on October 12.
Gürer claimed first place in the youth category as well as in her age group, earning the prestigious white jersey that is awarded to the best young rider of the event.
The race brought together over 2,000 cyclists from around the world, offering an unforgettable experience through İstanbul’s scenic route from Beykoz to the Black Sea coast.
