As part of the “Leader Talks” speaker series, organized by the Faculty of Business Administration, MBA and Executive MBA students met with distinguished guest Ergün Kırlıkovalı.
Originally trained as a chemist, Kırlıkovalı is known for his entrepreneurial success in the United States, where he developed polymer technology enabling radar invisibility in fighter aircraft. His story illustrates how scientific expertise, when aligned with the right problem, can evolve into a high-impact entrepreneurial journey.
During the session, it was emphasized that entrepreneurship is not solely based on courage, intuition or innate talent, but rather a skill set that can be developed, refined and strengthened through experience and structured processes. The framework derived from Kırlıkovalı’s own experiences provided students with inspiration and practical insight.
This event once again highlighted that the Bilkent MBA and Executive MBA experience extends beyond classroom learning, fostering a distinguished learning community where professionals from diverse sectors exchange knowledge, share experiences and grow within a strong professional network.
