Amemorial service was held for Assoc. Prof. Osman Oğuz, retired faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering, whom we lost on Monday, August 24, 2026. Dr. Oğuz, who joined Bilkent University in 1988, served as chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering at various times during his tenure at the university.
Family, friends, students and colleagues gathered at a memorial for Dr. Oğuz on Friday, September 18, at Mithat Çoruh Hall. Those present shared memories and offered their condolences. We would like to express our profound condolences to his family, friends, students and to the Bilkent community.
