On Friday, October 2, Bilkent University and Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), an addendum on a student exchange program and an Erasmus+ exchange agreement at the İhsan and Ayser Doğramacı Science, Culture and Arts Center. The cooperation covers five fields: law, political science, information and communication, economics and management. The agreements are the result of the contacts and friendship the two universities have built since June 2025. The agreements were signed on behalf of Université Paris-Panthéon-Assas by Prof. Emmanuelle Chevreau, Vice-President for International Affairs, and on behalf of Bilkent by Rector Orhan Aytür. Bilkent’s vice rectors and the deans of its faculties attended the ceremony, as did Gilles Roulland, Counselor for Cooperation and Cultural Action and Director General of the French Institute. The signing ceremony underscored the growing ties between Türkiye and France in higher education and student mobility, with both parties expressing a strong commitment to foster joint initiatives in the field of law and beyond.
