What do you like best about Turkey?
It is culturally close to Iran, and it is very peaceful.
Are there any similarities between Turkey and your home country?
We share the same moral and social values: family, hospitality and food.
What will you miss most about Bilkent/Turkey?
Its competitive environment and level of difficulty.
What’s your favorite place on campus, and why?
Mozart in C building because I had and will have happy and sad moments there.
What’s your favorite Turkish food and/or favorite part of Turkish culture?
The Halay dance
Where do you expect to see yourself 10 years from now?
Don’t know, don’t care. As long as I can help people, my whereabouts do not matter.
What’s the hardest challenge you’ve handled in Turkey?
As an only, spoiled child, my hardest challenge has been living alone.
What places have you visited in Turkey, and which one is your favorite?
I have visited Ankara, İstanbul, Eskişehir and Kapadokya, but Ankara has always been the home we all go back to at the end of the night.
What’s an interesting question or comment you hear frequently at Bilkent/in Turkey?
New students always think it is hard, but deep down we all know this is true.
